Payments & capture timing

This page connects the engine that runs your renewals and records how you'd like charges captured.

Connect a processor

Renewals can't run without a connected processor, so do this first:

  • BC Payments — if your store has it enabled, you can auto-detect and connect it.
  • Stripe — connect a Stripe account by adding its keys.

Until a processor is connected, the page shows a "No processor connected yet" prompt and renewals won't charge.

Capture timing

Capture timing controls when a customer's card is charged relative to order placement. You can set your preference here.

Advisory only today

Capture-timing enforcement activates in a later release (ADR-0038). Right now the setting records your intent — renewals capture on the platform default until enforcement ships. The admin shows this same note next to the control, so the behavior is never a surprise. Setting your preference now means it's ready the moment enforcement turns on.
